Between obesity and malnutrition .. Reeling all the countries of the world!

Between obesity and malnutrition .. Reeling all the countries of the world!

Where the whole globe seems to have serious nutritional problems. A large study published on Saturday found that almost all countries in the world suffer from serious food problems either because of over-eating, leading to obesity or lack of food leading to malnutrition.

The researchers, who prepared the World Nutrition Report, covering 140 countries, said the problems "put pressure on human development as a whole" and called for a decisive change in response to this global health threat.

Despite decrease in global malnutrition rates, the report concluded that its rate of decline is not fast enough to achieve internationally agreed sustainable development goals to end all forms of malnutrition by 2030.

More than 155 million children under the age of five are dwarfed by malnutrition and 52 million are wasting and their weight does not match their lengths, the report said.

2 billion people suffer from obesity

In contrast, over-eating causes problems for people of all ages across the world. The report found that 2 billion of the world's 7 billion people now suffer from overweight or obesity. In North America, a third of men and women are obese.
